Michael Conway joined the NCDTA in 1974 and became an Examiner in 1979.  Michael has served as a Director on the Council of Management since 1980, is Chairman of the Ballroom Examiners, represented the NCDTA at British Dance Council committees as well as others affiliated to the BDC. He was also elected President in 1985-90, 2002-03, again in 2004-06, and is the current elected President of the NCDTA. also holding office as Vice-President over the years.  Michael is a full time Dance Teacher running a large Ballroom & Theatre School with his wife Mavis Whiteside in Newcastle upon Tyne.
